Hello from the Wakefield-
Lynnfield United Methodist Church!
Here is a little bit about our welcoming Methodist Church
Community in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Each Sunday, Worship Service
starts at 10:30am during which we offer Sunday School for infants/ toddlers
through High School age. Following the
service, we enjoy Fellowship at our Coffee & Conversation time.
We even have musicians “In the House” as our Pastor, Rev. Glenn Mortimer, and his wife Elizabeth are trained musicians which they incorporate into special church services for all to enjoy! Hunger Basket Mission
Hunger
The Groups we assist in our Hunger Basket Mission are: Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry, My Brothers Table in Lynn, The Greater Boston Food Bank & St. Andrew Society which provides gleaned farm produce to food banks and feeding programs around the world.
United Methodist Men & Women's Group
Spiritual Life
Our United Methodist Men & Women's Group mission is to
bring together the men and women of our church by mixing spirituality with
current events through seasonal events, meaningful social gatherings and volunteerism.
The W.L.U.M.C. Book Club
Fun for All
The W.L.U.M.C. Book Club is a
ministry to promote thought and discussion through socialization in a small group which meets once a month, all year round.
The group reads both fiction and nonfiction books which are chosen from The W.L.U.M.C. Book Club members suggestions. New readers
are always welcome and do not need to belong to the church to join the
group.

Our Church choir sings Sept. – June each Sunday during worship Service. They also have 2 rehearsals a month for practice as well as socializing purposes. Love & Grace Greetings is A Prayer Sharing Church Mission
The mission of the Love & Grace Greetings is to care for church members, friends and loved ones through an outreach of caring cards for illness, crisis, personal need or the passing of a friend or family member. Through this card mission we send God’s Love & our Prayers with each “Love & Grace Greeting”.

Praying in Color is a doodling &
drawing activity that encourages
praying, meditation, contemplation & relaxation. It is not supposed to be a
work of art, it just a process to enjoy.
Knit, Pray & Crochet Ministry
Caring
Knit, Pray & Crochet’s Mission is to: Create items for those in need like blankets, hats, mittens, scarfs, prayer shawls & prayer squares. Please join in the fun as we knit, crochet, chat, craft & help others.We have yarn with knitting needles & crochet hooks and will even show you how to get started! *No Experience Needed! All faiths are welcome to join us. Meetings: 10-11:30am on the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month*
Project Linus Blanket Making Ministry
Health and Wholeness
Project Linus
is a year round mission opportunity to provide security through Handmade Blankets. Anyone can donate all year round! Blankets are hand delivered to area
hospitals, groups and people in need. The Project Linus Donation Bin is located
in our church’s main hallway as well as in back of sanctuary. **Please provide
your name and address with your donated handmade blanket(s). Our church is a Project Linus Blanket Drop-off location as well! www.bostonprojectlinus.com
Scouting Sponsor

Our Church sponsors Cub Scout Troop 712. We provide them with their own Scout Room to hold meetings & events as well as church volunteers and food makers at events, when needed.

Youth Program Ministry
Reaching Out in Mission
Giv 2 Ecumenical Youth Group Our Giv2 Ecumenical Youth Group is open to youth in Middle/Junior High and High School. Please pray for our partner churches, clergy, Christian education leaders and youth as we seek to follow Jesus Christ and strengthen our relationship with him. Our Ecumenical Youth Group partner with 4 local churches -Centre Congregational Church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, St. Maria Goretti and Our Lady of the Assumption.
