What does this verse mean?

Paul calls believers to mutual affection and honor. This shifts attention away from competing for importance and toward recognizing the dignity and contributions of other people.

A short prayer

Lord, help me honor the people I might overlook. Amen.

Put it into practice

Thank someone whose contribution is usually unnoticed.

Take a moment to reflect: what might this look like in your life today?

Scripture is quoted from the World English Bible. Reflections and prayers are devotional commentary from NearMeChurch, separate from the Bible text.
