Bethlehem takes pride in being a “worker bee” church. We are consistently serving our community, state, country, and globe through programming and special events. Domestic and International Mission Trips are a regular. Previous locations include: Houston, Mountain TOP, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. Twice a year we partner with Feed America First to pack rice and beans for families in need. Feed America First primarily serves the Middle Tennessee area. Church Has Left the Building Sunday is the Sunday after Easter where the congregation goes into the community to serve others in a variety of ways. Previous projects include: making no sew blankets for Love on Wheels, an organization that helps children in the foster care system, baking cookies for school teachers, firefighters, and law enforcement officers, and singing to the elderly at nursing homes. Kathy’s Backpacks is our yearly backpack project. We pack over 400 backpacks for students in need in Williamson County. Meals on Wheels is a ministry that provides meals to those in need on the 3rd Monday of each month. Project Transformation is a ministry that helps inner city children improve their reading skills over the summer. Share the Feast is our Thanksgiving food drive where we collect and distribute food boxes for families in Williamson County. We also raise money for 500 turkeys to go with each box. Room in the Inn is our winter ministry that provides housing, meals, laundry facilities, showers, and more for 10 homeless men each Saturday night from November to March. Love Cooks is a food ministry where members fix meals and put them in our freezer. These meals are then available for any family where there is grief or illness and meals are needed. Our annual Fish Fry is the 3rd Friday in July. This tradition dates back to 1974. The congregation gathers to together to feed around 4,000 community members!
