Welcome to Joseph United Methodist Church

We are a place to love God, love people, and actively serve the world.

Please join us for Sunday morning worship. Worship services begin at 10:00 a.m. Our services are traditional, but with a casual comfortable atmosphere. Adult Sunday School is at 9:00 a.m., and Children’s Sunday School meets during the worship service.

Visitors to Wallowa County are welcome at our services. Come as you are. You’ll find people in shorts and sandals, jeans and boots, t-shirts, dresses and sports jackets.

We are located at 301 S Lake Street in Joseph, Oregon, one block east of Main Street at the corner of Third and Lake Streets.

United Methodist Women

Reaching Out in Mission

United Methodist Women are women with a Purpose! One of our biggest yearly projects is the Children’s Christmas Store, which allows children from Joseph to buy Christmas presents for their family and friends at a very affordable amount. We also have monthly education programs, opportunities for leadership development, and great fellowship. Our local unit meets on the third Thursday of the month at 1:00 pm (except in July and August).

“United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.” We do that by equiping leaders, organizing for growth, educating to transform, serving & advocating, fostering spiritual growth. We have a variety of Bible studies and topical Christian studies going on at any given time at Joseph United Methodist. On Sunday mornings at 9:00 am, we have adult Sunday School. Children's Sunday School gathers during the worship service at 10:00 am. We also have both short term and long term gatherings through the week. Spiritual Life

Through our prayer chain we connect with people in our congregation, our community, and the world. Prayer is another way that we develop our relationship with God. Praying for other people also help forge relationships with others.
