Reaching Out in Mission
United Methodist Women are women with a Purpose! One of our biggest yearly projects is the Children’s Christmas Store, which allows children from Joseph to buy Christmas presents for their family and friends at a very affordable amount. We also have monthly education programs, opportunities for leadership development, and great fellowship. Our local unit meets on the third Thursday of the month at 1:00 pm (except in July and August).
“United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.” We do that by equiping leaders, organizing for growth, educating to transform, serving & advocating, fostering spiritual growth. Spiritual Life
We have a variety of Bible studies and topical Christian studies going on at any given time at Joseph United Methodist. On Sunday mornings at 9:00 am, we have adult Sunday School. Children's Sunday School gathers during the worship service at 10:00 am. We also have both short term and long term gatherings through the week. Spiritual Life
Through our prayer chain we connect with people in our congregation, our community, and the world. Prayer is another way that we develop our relationship with God. Praying for other people also help forge relationships with others.
