I'm honored to be pastoring this historic church in this historic town, known as Saddlertown. Rhoades Temple will be celebrating 128 years in 2021. God gets all the Praises Glory and the Honer.  Saddlertown Township community was established in 1842 by Joshua Saddler, a formerly enslaved man from Caroline County, Maryland. Each year Rhoads Temple Church host our annual Saddlertown Day. Our guided tour of nearby Saddler's Woods is one of my favorites, 

conducted by a representative from the Saddler's Woods Conservation Association.  (SWCA). This is a family-friendly event, free and open to the public. Each year present and past members, and community families, come together and enjoy food, music, and children's activities. Also information about the history of Saddlertown, Joshua Saddler, and Rhoads Temple United Methodist Church is on display. We also have a census table, where family members of this historic town can add family input.  

I thank God as time moves on, the history of Rhoades Temple United Methodist Church and the Historic Saddlertown will always be remembered and celebrated!

About Rhoads Temple United Methodist Church
