HOPKINTON
FOOD PANTRY
We are committed to helping the Hopkinton Food Pantry, through collections of
food (especially fresh produce) for Thanksgiving baskets and raising money
through the Crop Walk in the fall.
FRIENDLY KITCHE
Every fifth
Sunday, we prepare and serve meals at Friendly Kitchen located in Concord.
Serving approximately 85, we especially enjoy treating them to BBQ’s and fresh
corn on the cob during the summer months. Working along with the youth, Souper
Bowl of Caring donations provide funds for the meals as well as gifts of warm
clothing for the patrons at Christmas. Twice a year rummage sales sponsored by
the Service Club, also provides needed clothing in the spring and fall.
GOT LUNCH PROGRAM
The “Got Lunch” program is a grassroots effort by the community of Hopkinton.
It’s goal is to provide lunches throughout the year to children, as well as,
older residents in need of a helping hand. Backpacks are sent home from school
on Fridays with food to make lunches on the weekends. During school vacations
and the summer, the need is increased as the children do not have access to the
subsidized lunch program. “Got Lunch” is a mission project supported by
the Missions Team and this congregation helping our local community.
