We welcome and thank you for your interest in Ames United Methodist. We are a multi-cultural church located in the heart of Saginaw, working to serve the Lord through our community. We support this through vibrant worship services, Bible studies, and free neighborhood activities. These include basketball camp for kids,a Neighborhood Festival, Thanksgiving Day dinner and much more. We have a rich history of supporting missions and are involved with a local food pantry and even offering the use of our chapel to other churches when their own buildings are unavailable. We've grown and expanded in the city of Saginaw since 1873 as we have faithfully preached God's word. We hope you'll visit us here at Ames UMC.

We have a garden open to the community during the growing season. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the food or to help in the garden.
Praise Band

Our praise band practices weekly and leads worship at our Contemporary worship service on Sundays.
Gospel choir

We sing on the 1st and 3rd Sundays for both services.
Ames Youth RTG (Restore to Glory)

Periodically worships with the Sunday morning service. Church membership not required. Some costuming fees may apply.

Drive ministry
Reaching Out in Mission
We restore donated computers and give them to non-profit organizations, families/individuals of all ages (educational and employment or ministry purposes only). .
Ride ministry
Reaching Out in Mission
We repair donated bikes and primarily give them to adults or young adults needing transportation for school, employment, and more, but we also give bikes away to kids for recreation use-something positive for them to do.
Altar ministry

Caring individuals available after each service for prayer and healing.
