Alberta Gary Memorial UMC provides a compassionate Christian presence, and has programs for persons of all ages in east Columbia and the surrounding Howard County neighborhoods of Ellicott City, Jessup, Laurel, Clarksville, and Savage.
We are a community church that is one of the oldest institutions in Howard County, dating back to when the county was sparsely settled farmland. Alberta Gary's community spirit and focus has remained strong as the area has grown; bringing electricity, paved roads, and many more people. An illustration of our long history and community focus is our bell tower. It houses an old fashioned farm bell, donated by a local farm more than fifty years ago.
We are happy that you have chosen to look us up and would love to have you worship with us!
