Joyful Voices Junior
Music, Arts and Worship
Joyful Voices Junior is a preparatory choir for children in Kindergarten and first grade. Participants will sing, play simple instruments, learn basic music literacy and ear training skills, and enjoy movement activities in a fun and welcoming environment. Joyful Voices Junior singers will have the opportunity to develop performance skills as they sing in worship and other special music events at Trinity.

Trinity Young Adults

This class studies biblical, non-biblical, religious and contemporary material in order to gain a better understanding of our spiritual lives and faith.

Prayer Team
Caring
This team consists of a network of clergy and lay persons who pray for specific requests. All requests are kept confidential. Prayers can be requested during worship on Sunday mornings or by calling the church office.
Early Response Team
Reaching Out in Mission
Trinity has an Early Response Team trained to fill a specific need in the early days after a disaster to clean out flood-damaged homes, remove debris, and prevent further damage, while providing a caring Christian presence.
Hospitality Ministry

The Hospitality Ministry promotes hospitality with a welcoming presence to visitors, guests, new members and the congregation, providing greeters, office volunteers, first-time visitor calls, name tags, new member lunches and hosts for Trinity Café.
Genesis Ringers
Music, Arts and Worship
Genesis Ringers is for children in grades 3 through 5. This is a warm and welcoming introductory handbell ensemble for children who experience melody, rhythm and the joy of working and playing together through their music. Genesis Ringers play for worship several times throughout the year.
Men's Choir
Music, Arts and Worship
The choir sings for the 8:15 a.m. worship service the first Sunday of the month. This community of men is an exciting place to belong, to sing and to pray.
Intervals of Joy
Worship
This class invites all adults interested in music to develop music skills, study music history and explore spirituality through music. Sessions will also include studying major works performed by the Chancel Choir and developing vocal technique.
Youth Choir

If you are a youth in grade 6 through 12, then YOU belong in YOUth Choir! We are a group of singers of all ability levels committed to celebrating our faith through music, providing leadership in worship, developing strong friendships and growing our musical talents. We sing once a month for worship and have also attended choral festivals, served in outreach and taken part in special concerts at Trinity. We've also sung the National Anthem with the Chancel Choir at Colorado Rockies games!

Children's Chimes is for children age 4 through grade 2. With this fun introduction to hand chimes, the focus for children will be on counting, ringing techniques and learning to read music. Children's Chimes plays in worship a couple times each year.

Bereavement Ministry
Caring
This ministry provides support and resources for those who have experienced any type of loss. Regular support gatherings and one-on-one support are part of this outreach, such as quarterly Living with Loss workshops and the Loss Support Group.
Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir sings for the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday mornings, as well as provides special musical performances throughout the year. All are invited to join our community of singers!
English as a Second Language
Reaching Out in Mission
An opportunity for adult speakers of other languages to develop their American English skills, English as a Second Language classes are held at Trinity. Skill in another language is not necessary, nor is previous ESL experience. Tutors have worked with students from many different countries. On-site training and materials are available.

Early Childhood Music

The Musikgarten classes offered at our studio are a wonderful way to nurture a child's musical ability by engaging him or her in singing and movement activities that help attune the ear, refine the voice and develop a rhythmic body through which music can be expressed. Additionally, instrumental activities are part of our program, ranging from playing simple rhythm instruments such as sticks and drums for babies and toddlers to playing piano for the older children through age 10.
Second Century Foundation

The mission of the Second Century Foundation is to minister to needy people by providing financial resources to outreach ministries and programs in downtown Denver and the Denver metropolitan area. It was established as a permanent endowment in 1984 by members of Trinity United Methodist Church to raise funds and accept contributions from individuals and groups to benefit area outreach organizations and programs. The support of the church, the generosity and commitment of the members and the partnership with community organizations has resulted in services to our neighbors that help them reach their goal of self-sufficiency.
Denver Urban Matters (DenUM)
Reaching Out in Mission
Every day at DenUM, families receive emergency services of food, rent or utility assistance and infant items to help with basic needs. Through job services, individuals find opportunities to move from dependency to self-sufficiency. DenUM also focuses on education and advocacy to seek community transformation.
St. Francis Center
Reaching Out in Mission
The purpose of St. Francis Center Employment Services is to reduce the number of people returning to prison by increasing career and educational opportunities that promote self-sufficiency and end the cycle of poverty and crime in our Denver communities. St. Francis Center provides mentoring, case management, employment search, life skills and marketable work skills training, along with support for transportation to job sites, training and supplies.
Habitat Interfaith Alliance

Trinity is a member of the Habitat Interfaith Alliance, a group of 14 Denver area congregations that work together to raise funds and build homes in the metro area in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver.

Worship
This class addresses four strands of emphasis, the Bible, Spirituality, World Religions and Current Theological Issues, which are presented by professors from the Iliff School of Theology and special guests. Annual registration fee applies.
Exploring Trinity
Worship
This is a six-week membership orientation class that introduces participants to Christian discipleship, one's personal faith journey and membership at Trinity. Call the church office for start dates of each six-week session.
Living the Journey
Worship
Each individual spiritual journey encounters times of questioning, exploring, discerning and experiencing. This series creatively engages participants in the continuing development of one's faith.

This class provides an opportunity for fellowship, devotion and Bible study.
Trinity Knitters
Fun for All
Trinity Knitters is a group of individuals who make scarves and hats, either knitted or crocheted.These items are then given to various organizations for distribution to those who need to keep themselves warm during the cold weather.
Olin Hotel Christmas Party

Under the auspices of Senior Housing Options of Metro Denver, the Olin Hotel's mission is to provide and promote housing and services in a caring environment for seniors and adults with physical and mental disabilities in Colorado.

Open to all interested women, the Women's Choir rehearses on select Sunday mornings and sings once a month for worship at 8:15 a.m.
Denver Rescue Mission

The Denver Rescue Mission offers programs of rehabilitation, food and clothing distribution, spiritual counseling, a furniture bank, transitional housing and permanent housing assistance.
Stephen Ministry

This program equips lay persons to provide distinctly Christian one-on-one care in a confidential and compassionate manner to those who are experiencing various life challenges.
Brass Ensemble

Open to those with experience playing trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium, baritone or tuba. The ensemble performs in worship and at special events during the year.

Warren Village

Warren Village exists so that low-income, single-parent families achieve sustainable personal and economic self-sufficiency. Safe and secure housing, combined with self-help services, gives stranded families the opportunity to regroup and become valuable members of society. Each Easter season, Trinity members provide Easter baskets for the children at Warren Village.

Trinity members of mature ages meet for coffee and lively conversation on a wide range of topics reflecting biblical history and perspectives, as well as contemporary views on media and the arts, and concerns of modern living.

Youth Bells

Youth Bells, for youth in grades 6 through 12, has fun and fellowship while working on challenging music to play in Sunday morning worship services and other opportunities that come about during the year. Ringing experience is not necessary, but being able to read music is helpful.

Children's Second Session Sunday School
Worship
Available for children age 2 through fifth grade, this class takes place following the Children's Message in worship and will learn about the same Bible lessons and themes heard in the main worship service.

This class is for married, divorced and widowed individuals in their 50s who have a wide variety of religious and spiritual backgrounds and beliefs who want to spend time together exploring the challenges and possibilities of their relationships with God.
Military Ministry
Caring
Trinity's Military Ministry was established in 2011 to support our troops overseas. There are numerous members in our congregation who have family members, loved ones or friends who are presently deployed, or have been recently, to stations in the Middle East and around the world. The Military Ministry Committee is in full support of these brave men and women of our United States Military.
Joyful Voices

Join us in community and learning, outstanding performance opportunities, collaborations with Youth Choir, extensive and fun vocal training and music literacy by being part of the first children's choir at Trinity to kick off the exciting and highly-acclaimed Voice for Life learning adventure. Children in grades 2 through 5 will have great fun finding out what they can do in singing as we serve God and our congregation. We are excited about creating a real choir experience with consistent attendance and growth.
Wesleyan Breakfast Club

The Wesleyan Breakfast Club meets monthly for fellowship over breakfast. Guest speakers are scheduled to discuss a variety of topics.
Capitol Hill Community Services Lunch Program
Hunger
Trinity hosts Capitol Hill Community Services to provide a hot, nutritious lunch to over 200 people each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Mission Trips

Trinity Youth travel to destinations near and far to work with those in need, including Seattle, San Francisco and Guatemala.

Support Groups
Caring
A number of support groups are hosted at Trinity on a daily and/or weekly basis. Most meet from 12–1 p.m. Call the church office for more information.
Volunteer Opportunities
Reaching Out in Mission
A variety of volunteer opportunities with local and regional outreach organizations are available. Some of the organizations we often work with include Capitol Hill United Ministries, Metro Caring, Project Angel Heart, Denver Rescue Mission and the St. Francis Center.
Homebound Ministry
Caring
Caring individuals visit or call Trinity members who can no longer attend services due to declining health or immobility. We also stay connected to those in our senior generations who are still able to attend, but not as often as they would like.
Capitol Hill United Ministries (CHUM)
Reaching Out in Mission
CHUM is an interfaith organization that offers collegiality for member agencies and churches, advocacy and awareness for the issues of the disenfranchised and neighbors in need, spiritual presence, education and participation in programs to help us open our eyes and hearts to all those in our community. CHUM provides witness, voice, community and action on appropriate issues that affect the people, agencies and places of prayer in Capitol Hill.
El Centro Humanitario
Reaching Out in Mission
El Centro Humanitario para los Trabajadores (Humanitarian Center for Workers) is a day-labor center for low-income and immigrant workers in the metro Denver area. Their mission is to promote the rights and well-being of low-income day laborers in Denver through education, job skills development, and leadership, united action and advocacy.
Trinity Ringers
Music, Arts and Worship
Adult ringers of all skill levels are welcome in Trinity Ringers. New ringers are paired with an experienced ringer during the early learning stages. Advanced ringers are encouraged to work in ensembles in addition to the main choir. Ensemble practice starts at 6 p.m. The choir brings music ministry to worship services once a month, as well as to occasional community programs.

Children's traditional Sunday School is grouped by 2-3 year olds, Kindergarten-Preschool, and First-Fifth graders. Each class employs age-appropriate curriculum to give children an awareness of God.
Surveying the Bible

Participants look at particular biblical persons, events or books while trying to see the larger story to which these individual passages belong.

Trinity Youth is a welcoming place to join with others your own age to ask questions, discover how truly amazing God is, be encouraged to be yourself and grow in your faith.
