Dear Friends,
The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. More specifically, at First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, we are a congregation committed to the vision “Together, proclaiming Christ by loving God and serving God’s people.”
Our life together is shaped by John Wesley’s three simple rules: Do no harm, Do good and Stay in love with God. With these three, we seek to grow a fellowship where all can be welcomed as children of God, disciplined in prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness and launched to offer Christ to a broken world.
First UMC is committed to the priesthood of all believers and the development of the ministry of the laity. As the “Body of Christ” we believe each of us are uniquely equipped and mutually called to be the presence of Christ where we live, work, learn and play. John Wesley reminded us that “the world is our parish.” We are called to be the church for those who are not yet a part of us.
