Welcome to Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church!  We are a tight-knit community of believers in Jesus Christ who are dedicated to living into and participating in His redemptive work in our lives and the world at large.  We build one another up to partake in the blessings of God's grace and to weather the trials and sufferings we yet suffer as we await our Lord's 2nd Coming.


At Mt. Gilead, we are a Christian family.  We strive to follow Christ's command to love God and our neighbor to the utmost.  We gather to hear God's word, receive His grace, and to praise His holy name.  We go out into the world to join in His continuing ministry to all mankind.

AMEN House Food Collection

Hunger

The church accepts donations for the AMEN House food pantry to alleviate hunger in our local community.  We accept these donation all year long and transport them to the AMEN House for distribution.

Missions Support

Reaching Out in Mission

We support several missionary families around the world who are engaged in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all.  Currently we support missionaries working in Taiwan, Africa, and Central America.

5th Sunday Fellowship Meals

Reaching Out in Mission

In months containing 5 Sundays, we gather on the 5th Sunday as a community in Christ to enjoy a potluck lunch and fellowship immediately following morning worship.

Samaritan's Purse Shoebox Ministry

Spiritual Life

Members of our church come together to pack shoeboxes full of gifts and supplies for needy children around the world to receive at Christmas time as an expression of God's love.  Recipients are also taught about the love of the One who stands behind this ministry.


Collection of supplies is ongoing, but the packing of boxes generally takes place in November of each year.
